Junk values are the Enlightenment's gift to man that are leading to our sickness - this article makes this point quite well.

We are reaping what was sown when we threw the baby out with the bathwater. Of course junk values make us sick. That's the whole point. Because modernity has concocted a thousand and one 'cures', each worse than the next, which it feeds us on the pretext that it wants to make us better.
So, first it makes us sick and then it makes us even sicker with the 'medicine' it advocates. Result? A society of consumer zombies who know the price of everything and the value of nothing and who, while claiming to be liberated from the chains of tradition, are shackled to the yoke of secular liberalism, with its myriad gods and goddesses to whom the faithful must genuflect at every turn.
Junk values? They're the very pillars that modern civilisation is built on!

Liberal tolerance is nothing more than just an illusion. The liberals are neither concerned with letting people do whatever they want nor bothered about 'freedom' of individuals. In reality, they actually want to dictate people what not to do and what not to believe.
They find it really hard to accept and tolerate those who don't believe the way they do about certain things. For instance, they will never tolerate anyone who is against LGBT, abortion, prostitution and other evils. They claim that those who believe this way are "dictating their morality", while they themselves are dictating their immorality. Muslims who despise the above mentioned things because of their religious beliefs can never be accepted in a 'free, tolerant, diverse and liberal society' until and unless they compromise on these things.
The truth is that their attractive cliches about 'diversity', 'tolerance' and 'freedom' are nothing more than superficial claims. In a liberal society, the people from different races and ethnic backgrounds can only 'coexist' if they have same essential beliefs about the world, otherwise they will not be tolerated and rather be labeled as bigots, extremists, homophobes etc. Is that really tolerance? Is that the freedom they preach? Is that really diversity?
