Maybe you should look at the racist apartheid policies of Israel, a Jewish state and see how intolerant they are - they don't even recognise the Palestinians as humans...
Or maybe the Buddhists of Burma who are currently undertaking genocide of the people in their country...
Or the Christian Nazis who relatively recently committed genocide against the Jews...
Geopolitical matters are a little more involved and need some digging into to understand what is going on. The Muslim world was peaceful, tolerant, prosperous and progressive in all areas of life - European colonialism put an end to that. Like it did in the Americas and India.
