Who was the most knowledgeable person at the time of the prophet (pbuh)?

At the time of the Prophet (pbuh), there were many individuals who were considered to be knowledgeable and well-versed in Islam. However, one person who stood out for his knowledge and wisdom was the companion Abdullah ibn Mas'ud.

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was known for his deep understanding of the Quran. He is reported to have memorized the entire Quran during the lifetime of the Prophet (pbuh) and was considered one of the most knowledgeable companions in Quranic exegesis (tafsir). It is reported the Prophet (pbuh) said:

"The most knowledgeable of my nation in the Book of Allah is Abdullah ibn Mas'ud." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was also well-versed in the knowledge of Hadith. He was known to have narrated many Hadiths from the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and was considered one of the most trustworthy narrators of Hadith. It is reported the Prophet (pbuh) said,

"Learn the Qur'an from four (people): Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifa, Ubayy ibn Ka'b, and Muadh ibn Jabal." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

In conclusion, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was considered the most knowledgeable person at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He was widely respected for his knowledge and wisdom and was considered one of the most trustworthy companions of the Prophet.
